Transmission Belts

by Shibam Belting Writer

Transmission belts are mainly used for transportation of materials over the length of a belt. The belt is a loop of flexible material used to link two or more rotating shafts mechanically, parallel to each other so that the material on the belt can move in a line. Belts may also be used as a source of motion in order to transmit power efficiently or even to track relative movement. Belts are looped over pulleys which may have a twist between the pulleys, which helps in moving the belt in a straight line. In case of a two pulley system, the belt can either drive the pulleys normally in a single direction or the belt may be crossed so that the direction of the driven shaft is reversed completely.

As a source of motion, the conveyor belt is one application where the belt is adapted to carry a load continuously between two points. This helps in transporting large objects over a distance. But these belts need not be parallel in direction. There are such belts that have curves and loops in them for better and efficient transport. These have a wide product range which is made using superior grade raw material which, in turn, is sourced from trusted vendors of the market. The offered range comes in a comprehensive variety of designs, shapes and sizes which can be customized in accordance with the requirements of the clients. Made from high quality rubber, the belts are highly durable and typically has long service life.

They are available in different thickness and width and can accordingly be customized as per the preferences of the customer. They are designed as per the set industry standards and policies and are wear-resistant for longer periods.

They are very easy to handle, highly efficient and have high levels of accuracy. Aside from the traditional pulleys, these belts can easily handle chain drives and drive several shafts, even in varied rotational directions. Some prominent traits of these belts are it’s a low power requirement, small pulley diameter, constant RPM, long belt life, short take-up ranges, low creep, good edge stability, treats bearings gently and vibration-free operation, etc. The rubber beltings are best suited to the most demanding conditions of various industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, paper, engineering etc. which increases it’s shelf life considerably.

These belts increase efficiency all the while cutting the cost of transportation and manpower considerably. Due to it’s multi-functional usage, it can easily be adapted to be used for a variety of other functions.

You can find an extensive variety of transmission belts, which are being increasingly used, owing to their unmatched quality and excellent performance delivered upon usage. They are available in diverse sizes and range, with all specifications provided beforehand. They can be heavily customised to meet the customers' requisites with complete perfection and precision. These automotive belts are made up of excellent quality materials that ensure many important features like tensile strength, high durability and resistivity to adverse conditions. This is one of the main reasons as to what makes them so high-in-demand on a global scale. They are easily available as well, over a mass market and have a long shelf like, if taken care and regularly serviced. These products are taking over the industry with their innovative and ever-evolving uses, and help in construction or transport work heavily.
