Top Must-Do Atlanta Attractions
by Kevin Smith AuthorIf you’ve never been to Atlanta, then you should definitely add it to your city-to-do list. If you’ve visited Atlanta and never explored the attractions, then what are you waiting for? Atlanta has something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want to go to the World of Coca-Cola, The Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, Callaway Gardens, Centennial Olympic Park, and more, there will always be much more to experience here in Atlanta. Here are some top must-do Atlanta attractions.
World of Coca-Cola
This one is one of the top attractions. From the outside, it’s quite unassuming, but once the tour is complete, you and your crew will have enjoyed yourself, without question. See the Coca-Cola bottling process. See the live robots that play an intricate part in the production, at work fulfilling their role in the process. For most people, including myself, the favorite part is the end. Not because we are glad it’s over, but at the end, you enter into this large open room where you get to sample over one-hundred different Coca-Cola drinks from around the world. This is where people begin to scatter around, going from fountain to fountain with their cups, giving a taste with the curiosity of children no matter the age. Some are delicious, even though they are a new flavor you are not familiar with. Some taste great and the taste may remind you of something that you’ve had before. While others, as soon as they make contact with your taste buds, make you want to spit it out. However, coming across some of the yucky ones and the surprisingly good ones is all a part of the excitement of the journey.
Callaway Gardens
Should you need to get away and slow down your pace a bit, then
Callaway Gardens is a great option. Callaway Gardens is the perfect place to
enjoy some fun and nature. Free your mind on the hiking and biking trails. Go
on a treetop adventure and zipline and climb through the forest. Cool off in
Robin Lake with some swimming, tubing, water skiing, or wakeboarding. You can
also enjoy lake fishing. See over one-thousand butterflies, within arm’s reach,
at the Butterfly Center. Even enjoy an appetite-satisfying, chef-prepared,
dining experience, even with a view of the lake, at one of the restaurant
options here. If you are visiting around Labor Day weekend, then you may be
able to enjoy going up on a hot-air balloon ride, or just watch the show. You
can also enjoy some signature events here, such as the water ski and wakeboard
masters. Here, you will see the tournament, with some of the greatest athletes
in watersports, should you visit at the right time during the year. There’s so
much more for you to experience at Callaway Gardens and so many other Atlanta attractions to explore. All
that’s left for you to do is begin your journey.
