India has its own culture which is shown in songs, acts and movies. Music in Indian movies is so soft and soothing that Indian rarely needs any other music album to listen to.

India produces a very low number of artist based music albums. But in terms of film making India produces highest number of movies than Hollywood. 

1. Kabhi to nazar milao
In 2000, Asha Bhosle and Adnan Sami released a collection of love songs in their very popular album named Kabhi to Nazar Milao. In this album the music was composed by Adnan Saami. This album became a hit and topped the Indian pop charts in the year 2001. According to a news magazine’s report that 2 million copies were sold out in India. Two most loved songs of this album were Kabhi to Nazar Milao and Mujh ko bhi to Lift Karadey. This album gave rise to Adnan Sami’s music career in India. 

2. Kailasa
‘Kailasa’ a very popular album by a great singer Kailash Kher which was released in the year 2006. This album regenerated the love of Sufi culture and Sufi music in India. This was one the biggest and greatest hit of that year 2006.  After the release of this album Kailash Kher became a star overnight. This album included the songs which were – Teri Dewani, Allah ke bande has de and many more. 

3. Deewanaa
This was one of the most important albums of Sonu nigam’s career which was released in the year 1999. This album had some of the most beautiful and romantic songs of that time. Songs like ab mujhe raat din, isqadar pyar hain, dewaana tera is from this album which rocked the year. 

4. Dr. Hari Om IAS
Famous ghazal singer and an IAS officer Dr. Hari Om had released many albums but his fourth album ‘Rang ka Dariya’ which was released on 21 January, 2018 was of the his best album. This album included 6 ghazals in which 5 ghazals are written by himself and one ghazal by was written by a bureaucrat Anees Ansari. “Ro chuke jinke liye rona tha, khatm ashkon ko kabhi hona tha” is one of the ghazal from Dr. Hari Om’s album.

5. Piya Basanti
This album was one of the demanding albums between the lovers of folk music. This album was sung by Ustad Sultan and Chitra which became very popular at that time in the country. It contained songs of romance or romantic songs (Piya Basanti) to pensive (Dhee More) to deliriously happy (Rangeelo Rut and Sawan Rut Aayo). It was also the best album of Indian music.
