The craze of preparing for MBA entrance examinations and also getting through them is fast catch up. Thousands of students enroll for these examinations every year but only a fraction of them walk away with the admissions. MBA is fast becoming the most common choice for getting a masters degree and thus the examinations involved with them are getting tougher by the day. There are several MBA entrance examinations that care carried out in India. However there are a few those have set a benchmark, the common admission test being one of them. The common admission test takes place once every year and there are several colleges that take up candidates for their admission through the CAT. Thus the CAT 2012 is expected to be bigger and even tougher when it comes to the competition. The CMAT or the common management admission test has been newly introduced by the AICTE which aims at selecting students for about 4000 B schools that are registered under it.

Though the CMAT is relatively new, it saw over 700,000 students appearing for the same in the very first year. This speaks a lot about the exam and the number is expected to grow this year. As far as the CAT 2012 is expected, candidates will have to work really hard to leave an impact on the same. The chances of clearing the CAT with good percentile score would only be decent if a candidate has been preparing for quite some time now. The CAT examinations generally take place in the month of October every year. In order to stay prepared for the same one needs to be very particular about the syllabus of the CAT and make sure that they have practiced the previous year question papers. Taking mock tests or practicing model papers can also prove to be a good exercise but only if they are done after some preparation. MBA aspirants need to be pretty sharp when it comes to clearing these examinations.

The CAT 2012, just as its previous editions would be expected to be tough and unforgiving for the underprepared. However regularly solving previous year papers along with lots of determination would see a candidate crack the toughest MBA entrance exam. As far as the CMAT is concerned one can go through its syllabus very carefully and solve the papers that are available online. Solving more papers always increase the chances.
