Three delicious Swiss treats that aren’t purely made of chocolate

by Yves Beljean Swissmade Direct

What comes to mind when you think of typical Swiss snacks? Well, from my experience I can say, most people consider a Swiss snack means something chocolaty. While Swiss chocolate does play a significant role in shaping the world of Swiss snacks and desserts, however, there are tons of alternatives other than snacks made with chocolate. In the unlikely event when you are craving something other than Swiss chocolate, you may find this list of three exceptional Swiss snacks and desserts to rejuvenate your taste buds.

1. Zweifel Chips

What is it?

Zweifel is a family-owned Swiss company involved in making mouth-watering Swiss chips. This brand is engaged in making delightful Swiss chips for more than 60 years! Zweifel chips and snacks are always fresh and crisp. The brand behind these chips is well known for maintaining the highest quality standards. And they also put a lot of resources to introduce great & diverse flavors.

Where can you get it?

You can get these Zweifel Chips at your convenience from home if you know where to buy them. However, before you jump on the ship, you must choose which flavor you should buy. The reason is, if you visit here, you will know that the brand has a wide range of flavors, so it would be wise to understand your needs first. Although, you can always try these crispy snacks at once! The Zweifel Chips are always fresh and ready for consumption, everywhere and anytime.

2. Kägi Fret

What is it?

Kaegi Fret is one of the most prominent Swiss brands known throughout the world for its chocolate wafer. However, that's not it. The brand is also known to be the maker of amazing Alpine cookies, butter biscuits, and more. The organization has been involved in making amazing Swiss products for over 80 years. And surely they are making the world a happier place! Kägi fret comes in different flavors like Hazelnuts, assorted, and many more. So you always have the choice to switch between the flavors to experience new things.

Where can you get it?

You can get the exquisite Kaegi Fret snacks from a diverse range of places. Yes, there's a bricks and mortar business where you can get them. However, what if you can order them directly from their origin in Switzerland? That's right; you can get these fantastic Kägi Fret products from Switzerland if you order from here.

3. Kambly cookies

What is it?

Kambly is one of the biggest cookie brands in Switzerland. They started working on making cookies as early as 1906. Today, with more than hundreds of years of experience and expertise, they have become a Goliath in the cookie industry. They are recognized as one of the best cookie makers who work with many flavors.

Yes, you can also find them that they are making cookies and snacks with chocolate. However, there are many other snacks made with unique ingredients to offer diverse and rich flavors. For instance, Naturalplan Bio Crunchy Crackers, Kambly Bio Almond Croissants and many more. All of them are made to provide you with great alternatives to chocolate snacks.

Where can you get it?

If convenience and authenticity are what you are looking for, then you can get them here. In fact, by going through the page, you can find a lot of different flavored snacks that are made by the Swiss brand Kambly.

Truth be told, I could write down more about Swiss snacks that are not made primarily from chocolate. But to add every one of them in one single post would take away the fun. So, this is where I draw the line, but of course, we will continue to talk about this topic and bring more savory Swiss snacks in our future blogs.

For now, I’ll leave you to choose from the above three brands and their products to give you a break from your chocolate overdose. In the meantime, you can always feel free to share some of your best Swiss snacks in the comment section below.
