by Alisha Perry A Blogger
If you have checked your passport’s expiration date lately, then its time to renew your passport as soon as possible. When you are going on a trip, then you might want to do a quick double check well. And if you do need to renew your passport with all formal procedures, there are important rules to keep in mind.

1. Mail Renewal: One of the best or you can say the easiest ways to renew a passport is via mail since it only requires a trip to the post office. All you have to do is just print a form along with your old passport and money order or check. Always keep this in mind that the check must include your personal information like full name and date of birth.

2. Same Day Renewals Can Be Handled: If you got stuck in last-minute situations, then make sure you don’t worry as it is possible to get a new passport a day or even the same day. For that, make sure you have an appointment at a passport agency.

3. Elimination of Extra Pages: There is no arguing with the fact that a standard passport comes with 28 blank pages for stamps and visas. People who fly more often can request a 52-page book at no additional cost.

4. Consider Taking Proper Photograph: Bear in mind that the specifications required for your 2x2 passport photo are extremely crucial. Make sure you don’t wear any scarf or hat; however, you can wear only prescription glasses. If you fail to meet any of these standards, you need to send a new photo.

5. Renew Sooner than Later: Having observed that the renewal process may take six weeks or even longer. Hence, it is quite important to carry out the process of renewal sooner. This would ultimately prevent you from getting engaged in trouble.
