Things To Keep In Mind While Making Your Site SEO Friendly

Search Engine Optimisation. The term is little more than technical jargon to many. But for those who are looking to start a business or career in Digital Marketing/Internet Marketing, the three words connote a whole world of ideas, innovation and opportunity. Done chiefly through internet research on Google AdWords, the work is chiefly about linking sites through often-searched keywords in order to rank them (i.e., sites) high in the Google search results list for all the keywords searched. If this sounds pretty confusing to you (we know it does), then let’s make it a wee bit simpler:

 Figure out Your Target Keywords: It is proper to start off with the foremost ingredient of SEO, i.e., Keywords. Develop and Follow a Marketing Strategy: Before you move in the way of Search Engine Optimisation, you need to undergo thorough research regarding what you’re supposed to aim for in business. That is, the demand for the product in the specified region, your site’s popularity or fan following on social media, how many views your blog posts get and how you rectify problems when the content doesn’t hit the Bull’s Eye as expected. Although the strategy is not uniform and needs to keep evolving and growing with time, you do need to formulate a plan before you start off the venture.

Keep the navigation of your site simple Be sure to use text and image links on your site. You need to keep the reader interested, so in case he/she is not satisfied or curious enough to keep reading or exploring your site, he/she can see the text and picture links which promise to explain things ‘more simply’. This is what serves to draw attention from readers.

Use XML sitemap and robots.txt file: In other words, use a page that lists all the important pages and links on your site. Using an XML sitemap in this case is particularly helpful since it assists the search engine in discovering the pages on your page faster. And the ‘robots.txt’ file helps you restrict the crawler and prevent it from crawling onto some of the sites.
