'They Don't Let You Play Defense Anymore'

Throughout the interview, Russell discussed Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen the changing nature of the linebacker position, explaining the goals for linebackers have changed dramatically as time passes, resulting in hulkier types playing the position nowadays.

"In those times, [Jack] Ham and I were attempting to lose weight," Russell said. "We wanted to get listed below 220 because i was covering wide receivers and rerouting them, which you're not allowed to do anymore. They do not allow you to play defense anymore. Farmville is- you cannot perform a thing. You cannot touch anybody. It is strange. I'm worried they will sissify the sport."

Russell told the people that his game simply wouldn't operate in the NFL today.

"The kind of penalties they call now were something that Ham and that i and [Jack] Lambert would do every single [play]," Russell said. "You might have their hands on the receiver- not holding him- however, you might have both hands pushing-- you can reroute them and never let them go where they took it, and then the quarterback couldn't locate them. They named it the Mel Blount rule, but it really was more the whole defenses doing that."
