The Work by Byron Katie: Loving What Is

Byron Katie is not a spiritual guru.

At least, I don't think she would call herself that.

In my recent soul searching efforts, I found a reference to Byron Katie and her books. It was said Byron Katie has a simple recipe for full responsibility. It was an intriguing idea. I first checked her books on Amazon, and I got what I believed at first was a bad surprise. More on that later.

Next thing I saw was her website, www.thework.com There, you will find many things to download, to help you understand what The Work is about. At first, it might not be obvious.

The main thing about Byron Katie's The Work is the four questions followed by the turnarounds.

The questions are, in that order:

1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it's true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without the thought?
