The President announced to end the relationship with WHO

The US President Donald Trump declares on Friday that the United States is going to quit its relationship with the WHO, World Health Organization, which he has been threatening to do since the COVID-19 outbreak started and which has also been criticized over the world. Trump further adds that as the worldwide organization failed to do their job, from now on, the US would stop funding the WHO and redirect those funds to other deserving and global public health needs.

Trump elaborated his statement further and said that China disregarded their responsibilities to report to the WHO and forced the organization to conceal the true reality of the novel coronavirus that has caused the deaths of numerous innocents and given a deep scar to the economic conditions of the entire world. While talking to CNN on Friday, a spokesman from the World Health Organization said that they don’t want to give any remarks here at this stage.

Before in May, Trump wrote a letter to WHO that stated that he is cutting the organization’s funds for now and warned that the USA would stop their funds permanently if the officials from the organization don’t promise to show a substantial improvement in the coming thirty days. Following that, recently Trump Admin announced to end relationship with WHO. 

Apart from this, the President is also continuously questioning the funding towards NATO (the Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization) and the UN (United Nations). Furthermore, he has already stopped financing the Paris Climate agreement, and recurrently criticizing the WTO (World Trade Organization).
