The Positive Impact of a Car Company

by Henry Day Ford Auto Expert

One of the signs of a popular and successful business is the impact it has on the community. Whether it is bettering the economy with more jobs, positively impacting the community or helping fuel academic programs in the state of Utah, that positive action does not go unnoticed. Ford dealers are no strangers to this. The Ford Motor company is much more than a simple car manufacturer. Since its charity organization started back in 1949, Ford has invested nearly 1.5 billion dollars in civic organizations to help benefit the communities in which it resides. The charity contributions centralize around three key areas that Ford feels will have the greatest impact on the community.

The first area is community life. This area can range from food donations charities such as local food pantries as well as food distribution centers and hunger relief programs. Ford also tends to focus on community cultural enrichment organizations and other organizations that seek to positively impact a local community or group.

The second area is education. Ford dealers understand the importance of education in Utah. Because of this, the Ford Motor Company invests around one-third of its funds into education. This can include things like helping to fund schools that are in financial need as well as providing scholarships to students who have shown outstanding academic performance. One of the donations that has become popular here in Utah is giving away a car to a high school student as a reward for his or her excellent academic work.

Ford dealers are also very concerned about the safety of the drivers that operate the company’s vehicles. So in response to this, Ford has developed a strong organization to inform and empower drivers to be as safe as possible. The award winning Ford Driving Skills for Life program has been a vital part of this section of the organization, and continues to help drivers be as safe as possible on the road.

Ford dealers are no strangers to Utah, with dealerships across the state from West Valley City to St. George. The impact that its charities have on the community here are no doubt visible. With last year totaling up to about $55.6 million in donations, it is only a matter of time before we will be able to see how much of an impact Ford will have on the community throughout this year and down the line.
