The New Luxurious and Modern Sedan - Lexus ES

The Lexus ES was formerly known as the Toyota Camry Prominent/Vista (1989-1991) and the Toyota Windom (1991-2006). The ES is a four-door mid-sized sedan with a front-engine and front-wheel-drivetrain and is now in its seventh generation.

The first-generation Lexus ES V20 was produced from 1989 to 1991 and introduced the first model ES 250 with a 2.5L V6 engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed A540E automatic transmission. The second-generation Lexus ES XV10 was released from 1991 to 1994 under the ES 300 with a 2.5L and 3L V6 engine paired either with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed A540E/A541E automatic transmission. The third generation of the Lexus ES XV20 was unveiled in 1996 - 2001 that comes with a rigid yet upscaled body and is equipped with a 2.5L and 3.0L V6 engine. Followed by the fourth generation XV30 in 2001 - 2006 with a new base for the ES 300 and ES 330 and powered by a 3.0L and 3.3L V6 with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

The fifth-generation ES XV40 was produced from 2006 until 2012 with the ES 350 and ES 240 models that come with 2.4L and 3.5L V6 engines joined by a 6-speed automatic transmission. The sixth-generation ES XV60 was introduced in 2012 with the ES 350 and the hybrid ES 300h model available which was powered by a 2.0L and 3.5L with a 6-speed automatic or CVT transmission. And in 2018, the seventh-generation ES XZ10 was launched, introducing a new body platform with maximum supports performance.

Engine

The current generation of Lexus ES is equipped with powerful V6 and straight-4 Lexus Hybrid Drive engines with power between 215 hp and 302 hp paired to an 8-speed direct shift automatic or the ECV transmission.

Interior

The Lexus ES interior is fitted with features including a Lexus 10 speaker Premium Sound System, push start button, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, dual climate control with interior air filters, an 8.0-inch Lexus Multimedia System with a color display and compatible scout, GPS Link, MapStream and TurnStream modes, power moonroof, and paddle shifter. The Lexus ES is also fitted with some advanced features for the comfort and convenience of the driver and passengers such as the Lexus Enform that allows a remote engine to start by using a smartphone or smartwatch, Apple Carpla, and the Amazon Alexa that lets you take control of the vehicle via a voice command system. For safety features, the ES comes with 10 airbags, a 10.2-inch full Head-up Display, a Panoramic View Monitor, Bi-LED headlamps, daytime running lights, and LED tail lamps. Also features the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 that consists of a Pre-Collision System with a Pedestrian Detection system which includes radar and camera detection, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and the Intelligent High Beams.
