The Natural Benefits of Hemp Oil for Your Health
by Dillon Patterson Article PublisherHemp has been a popular
natural remedy for many years and has been used by many people. While there is
anecdotal evidence showing that this oil can help everything from acne to the
progression of heart disease, clinical studies have not proven all of them.
Fortunately, there are studies that show the benefits of this oil.
Inflammation
Hemp is full of
polyunsaturated fatty acids and this includes omega-3s and omega-6s. This is
important because studies have found that adding omega-3s to your diet will
help reduce inflammation. This is important because inflammation can contribute
to a number of diseases.
These diseases will
include heart disease and cancer. However, it is important to note that the
study did not directly link hemp oil to any reduction in the risk of these
diseases. The study only looked at omega-3s and their anti-inflammatory
properties.
Skin
Disorders
A number of studies have
been done on the link between CBD and various skin conditions. These studies
have found that hemp oil works as a potent
anti-acne treatment. The study in 2014 showed that the treatment can help with
different types of acne.
Another study in 2005
looked into the link between hemp oil and eczema. This was a 20-week study
where participants took dietary hemp oil. At the end of the trial period, those
taking the hemp oil saw a significant improvement in their eczema symptoms.
A newer study has
suggested that hemp oil can make the skin stronger when there are not skin
disorders to treat. This study found that hemp oil makes the skin more
resistant to fungal and bacterial infections. There was also an indication that
the skin was more resistant to viral infections as well.
Menstruation
PMS or premenstrual
syndrome has a range of emotional and physical symptoms. A study in 2011
suggests that these symptoms are caused by sensitivity to prolactin at this
time. This is believed to be linked to low PGE1 in the body.
This is important when
looking at hem oil because the GLA in the oil is known to assist with the
production of PGE1. The study done on this found that women who suffered PMS
symptoms found they were notably decreased when they took 1 gram of fatty acid.
This can be found in hemp
oil.
An animal study looked
into the effect of hemp oil on menopause. The study,
done in 2010, found that hemp seed protected against the complications of
menopause. Of course, human studies will be required before this benefit can be
confirmed. However, it is the high GLA levels offered by hemp oil that are
believed to help.
There are many benefits
to CBD that you need to know about. These benefits are linked to the omega-3
and omega-6 fatty acids found in the oil. The only issue is the limited number
of clinical studies done on hemp oil and this leave most of the benefits as
anecdotal.
We always recommend
speaking to your GP or medical practitioner before beginning any new course of
treatments.
