The HP Designjet T1700 Offers Impeccable Security Among CAD Printers

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

We may have recommended many CAD Printers from the world-renowned HP DesignJet range across our blog posts here at Prizma Graphics, but when it is the most robust security for your sensitive information that is an especially pressing priority, there can ultimately only be one choice.

That one choice is the HP DesignJet T1700. This 44” six-colour series of CAD printers is a replacement for the T795A and T1300PS, and is quite simply the most secure printer on the market for CAD and GIS workgroups. It should be no great surprise, then, that it is such a popular option among local councils, government departments and the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Furthermore, there are many variants of the T1700 from which you can select to ensure your organisation’s most relevant printing needs are met. These include the 1VD87A PostScript model, while you can also have this printer with two rolls in an either PostScript or non-PostScript version.

An accurate, efficient and secure CAD printing solution

While the T1700’s key specifications would certainly seem to lend themselves to high performance – including its 128MB of memory and 500GB encrypted hard drive – there are all manner of other touches that mean you can depend with confidence on your T1700 consistently delivering optimal results.

These include the various software packages that come with the printer, encompassing HP Click, HP Utility for Mac and Windows, HP WebJet Admin, HP Embedded Web Server, HP JetAdvantage Security Manager, HP Partner Link and HP MPS.

However, your organisation or department may also be attracted to this 1118mm productivity printer on account of the ability that it gives to protect data from unauthorised access with HP Secure Boot, whitelisting, encryption, PIN printing and card readers.

You can also say goodbye to your organisation’s PCs freezing up when you invest in the T1700, given the Adobe PDF drivers that free up the computer immediately after sending a document to print. Efficiency is especially impressive when you select the dual roll option, with its doubled capacity minimising interruptions.

HP Bright Office Inks can also be depended on to give you bright colours and bold image quality, even on plain papers, while the high-density printheads ensure the most accurate display of data, providing 2400 nozzles per inch for 0.1% line accuracy.

Don’t look to any other specialists in HP DesignJet models and inks
