NdFeB magnet
The NdFeB magnet mainly contains sintered kind of Neodymium, Iron and Boron. These are also referred to the generation three of the rare earth variety of permanent magnets. These contain some other elements as well. In the family of magnets it is regarded as the supreme for its energy, coercive force and remanence. It can attract objects often much more massive than itself due to the high coercive force. Thus massive magnets of other material may be sometimes replaced by comparatively low mass NdFeB type magnet. The magnetic property of this material is assumed to last almost forever. However the operator concerned should take extra care to prevent the impact between two magnets of this material. Otherwise there are chances of breakage on the part of such magnets.

Its Uses
The uses are in the fabrication of MRI which is used for medical scan and also in magnetic drives. It also finds wide usage in magnetic machines like the pumps, in appliances which are utilized domestically, in communication which is microwave in nature etc

Speaker magnet and its uses
The speaker magnets find application in speakers of microphones or in loudspeakers. Generally such magnets are manufactured out of ferrite or neodynum. The general varieties use ferrite as the main raw material. These actually cost less and in appearance these are ring shaped. But it is the neodynum magnets which produce quality sound. The neodynum ones which are used for speakers are available in a handful of common sizes.

Strong magnet
The neomydium magnets are the most powerful magnets available. These, in effect, contribute to make the strong magnet. These are also called by the name NdFeB. They are made from a special alloy composed of Neomydium, Iron and Boron. The alloy itself has a crystalline structure. These actually form magnets much stronger than even ceramic magnets.

Permanent magnet and its uses
Permanent magnet is made from Alnico or neodymium or smco. It is principally used to manufacture motor magnets. In the neodymium variety there are the types bonded, sintered or arc type. The smco variety is operational in environments which re rust free, devoid of oxygen and having high temperature. The Alnico variety is seldom used in the industry of motor manufacturing. A special kind of permanent magnet motor, which is micro in size, in widely used while making automobile parts, appliances for home, equipments for automation in office etc. As NdFeB is used as the raw material, very small sized magnets can be obtained, which in turn can be used to manufacture small car without compromising on the performance. Incidentally these are tile like magnets. But in modern times these are being gradually replaced by the ring shaped magnets – which have a number of poles for inducing the magnetism.
