The Daring New Fashion Trends for Men

Whoever thought that men would be going monochrome or wearing prints with a vengeance, Two new fashion trends for men suggest that the Indian male is opening up to experimenting, and how!

Fashion is not for the faint-hearted. Not anymore! Definitely not in the scorching summers of 2019!

When was it that you were first told that men should dress safe – a euphemism for boring? Well, the millennial man is not listening to such outdated wisdom any more and the new fashion trends for men suggest as much. Ranveer Singh, anyone!

Boundaries are being broken and conventions being turned on their heads. Two decades ago when the Indian male turned metrosexual, (and tried out a pink shirt for the first time), he realised that a little bit of grooming goes a long way in improving their overall personality. And so what if the first batch of men going for a pedicure or full-body waxing were frowned upon by some.

The same silent revolution is sweeping the fashion world now. Yes, Indian men are experimenting with what they wear. And in droves! The last time it happened was through the 80s and the 90s when they shifted en masse to jeans. Definitely, men’s fashion clothing is coming of age.

Leave Your Imprint with Prints

Well, OK. Everyone is not hunting for leopard prints - top to toe - but more and more men are becoming open to prints - at least on their shirts and tees. The plain blue, grey and white do have their loyal followers, but many men are picking up the shirts with various prints, motifs and patterns.

Brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Aeropostale and Calvin Klein are reserving some racks for prints, grafix and geometrical patterns, especially in the slim casual shirt and T-shirt sections, and the stands are getting emptied faster than you think.

Other brands like Jack & Jones are going one step ahead and introducing prints on not only their T-shirts and casual shirts but also formal shirts and sweatpants. Though their colours for printed sweatpants are still muted ones like earth, olive and navy blue, there are other brands that have printed trousers in brighter colours.

Go Monochrome!
Now that is something unprecedented! Only sometime back we were screwing up our noses on the stud wearing black-on-black, and now we recommend doing one colour from top to toe. But such are the whims and fancies of the ever-changing fashion world.

Going monochrome is the other new fashion trend for men. The slightly safer option still is to combine two slightly different shades of one colour, but if you are daring enough to go fully red or fully yellow, and have the panache to carry it off, well, then why not?

The more adventurous are even going for ‘matching’ shoes and accessories. Scarves and mufflers in the same shade as the shirts and trousers, maybe caps too!

So these are the two daring new fashion trends for men that are changing the fashion landscape. Men are experimenting like never before, and the best part is – no one is calling them a flower pot anymore!

Of course, every other guy is not going to sport those looks, but for those who do, we say – Bravo!
