The Best Motorcycle Routes in Texas

by Kristen White Blogger
Texas is known for being a land of wide-open spaces, and historical landmarks. This is one reason why it’s become such a huge tourist destination over the last few decades. It also still has a huge area of open and undisturbed land. This can be a real pull for people who are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. There’s something appealing about riding your motorcycle through areas that seem like they’ve been untouched or designed just for you. Texas also has fantastic natural beauty that really gives you an idea of what America was like in the very beginning. It’s like taking a ride through history, and still being able to enjoy the nightlife.

Texas isn’t just a land of cattle and natural wonders. It’s also home to some of the largest and most well-developed cities in the country. These places are cultural hubs, as well as fantastic places to experience the Southern Culture. You can find everything from nightlife to Ranch experiences available to you. Riding a motorcycle through Texas is a far cry from going across it in a car truck. The view from the back of a bike gives the rider an intimate look at the surrounding area, and exposes them to things in ways that enclosed Vehicles never can. There’s also a serious sense of Freedom that comes with riding out over such a large area.

Planning a motorcycle route across Texas really depends on what you’re trying to get out of the experience. There are routes that allow you to experience the Best of Both Worlds, and take you throughout the natural beauty of the area while Landing you right in the big city. This gives you an opportunity to enjoy everything that Texas has to offer in one long road trip. If you want to find the best Texas road trips, it’s a good idea to search the internet and look at what other bikers have to say about the area. There are entire websites dedicated to helping you find the best route for your ride. These are just a few of the best motorcycle routes in Texas:

The Three Sisters

This is a 100-mile loop that begins and ends in the town of Leakey Texas. This Loop takes you down and around a road that’s full of interesting twists and turns. It gives you a complete look at the natural land formations in Texas, and allows you to see things from a fantastic point of you. Along the way, you can stop at a motorcycle museum or one of several other interesting places to eat and visit. Due to the nature of the road, this route is recommended for people who have experience riding.

The Farm Market Road 170

This is another route that lasts a little over 100 miles. It starts in a tiny Community called Candelaria. From here, you travel down Farm Road 170 along the Rio Grande and through portions of the State Park. This gives you a breathtaking view of the Texas Countryside, and allows you to see some of the more historical ghost towns along the way. There are several stops that can allow you to refresh yourself while checking out just a little bit of the Texan hospitality.

The Willow City Loop

This is a fairly short daytime ride. It only lasts about 20 miles and begins in Willow City. This ride really exposes you to the best of Nature has to offer. There are a huge variety of wildflowers that the area is actually famous for. You can also find a couple stops along the way that cater specifically to the biker community.

Whether you’re considering routes in Texas, are looking for a list of California motorcycle clubs, I would personally recommend Motorcycleroads.com.
