The 4th of July is not just another holiday. It is a time to remember

I am not American but I have many American Friends mixed in with the multi national friends that I have around the world.

One American Friend asked that his friends  would re post the following.

A person has 1,000 wishes. A SOLDIER only has one ; to come home safe.

To honor someone who died, a wounded warrior, or who is fighting (or has fought) for your freedom, please re-post in their/our honor !!!!

Remember what July 4th symbolizes...Freedom. Take a minute out of that day and pray for our Military.

Unfortunately there are so many Americans who have no idea if what we are celebrating. If you ask them they cannot answer basic questions about the American Revolution and what it's purpose was. Just ask a random American who Crispus Attucks was and take note of the blank stare(Attucks was the first American to die in the struggle for freedom who died at the Boston Massacre). Ask them when Ben Franklin was president and watch them actually pull a date out of their behind (Ben Franklin was never president) Ask them what the Bill of Rights is (The first 10 amendments to the Constitution). We should remember all of this because this is the birth of freedom, this is what every US soldier who has signed on, fought and died for.
