Places to Visit on Sumba Island

Weekuri Lake: The lake is just 40-50 minutes away from the Tamolaka Airport and easy to reach. The water present in the lake is from the sea (salt water). The place is just for the view, you cannot swim there. Because the water is not so deep.

Tarimbang Beach: The stunning view of blue water and clean sands make the beach beautiful. The beach is located in east Sumba near to Waingapu.

Marosi Beach; The prettiest beach welcome you with rolling waves. The white sandy beach and clean seawater make the scenery of the beach unique. You should visit there if you are on Sumba Island.

Air Terjun Lapopu (Waterfall): This is an amazing waterfall of the Island. The water from the waterfall is able to dring. Hight of the waterfall is 90 meters. The waterfall is located in the west of Sumba (Wanokaka Area). The starting point of the waterfall is hidden.

Mandorak Beach: The beach is located near Weekuri lake. The water is so calm on the beach that you can swim there. The beach is small but beautiful.

Food and Drinks on Sumba Island

Bear is so common on the Island. You can purchase the bears or alcohol from the shops. You can get the meat of pork, goat and fish. Chicken is easily available on the Island. You will not get the mentioned dishes in the hotel's/ restaurant's menu. Luxury food items may not be available there.
