Steps to troubleshoot Microsoft Office Error code 1935

Step 1. Temporarily disable Antivirus and Firewall

You could fix the Error code 1935 by incapacitating the antivirus or firewall temporarily or you could resolve the Error code 1935 by creating an exceptional rule for Microsoft Office update or installation.

Steps to disable Firewall are described below

Open the control panel and Navigate to system and security and then to the option of Windows Firewall
Click on the option of turn windows firewall on or off
Choose Turn Off firewall for both public and private network.
Try updating or installing Microsoft Office and check whether the Error code 1935 is fixed.

Follow the steps to disable Antivirus:

Go to the option of Application antivirus installed on your device.
Click on the option of settings and navigate to real time protection.
Switch Off real time protection.
Navigate to Antivirus firewall.
Switch off the Antivirus firewall.
Click on the option of OK or Yes button confirmation prompt if prompted.
Try updating or installing Microsoft Office and check whether the Error code 1935 is fixed.

Step 2. Execute SFC Scan

Go to command prompt in administrative privileges.
Enter the sfc /scannow and click on enter button.
The scan will begin spontaneously.
Do not close the command prompt until the scan gets accomplished.
Try updating MS office and check whether the Error code 1935 is fixed or not.

Step 3. Registry repair to fix Error code 1935

Error code 1935 also happens due to key value or registry corruption errors.

Delete the preinstalled key or older registry which blocks the installation of latest update or version

Also change the values in below keys from 0 to 1 in MS Office common registry folder.

Solution 4. Remove and reinstallation

If Error code 1935 is not fixed SFC scan and firewall/antivirus exception, is required to remove the MS Office suite completely from the features and programs, and then to reinstall the product for a proper use.

Go to the control panel
Click on the option of uninstall programs and features
Search for Microsoft Office in the list and Choose the option of Microsoft Office and click on the option of uninstall.
Once uninstall is finished, try running the MS Office setup to install Microsoft Office.

Steps to Install Microsoft Office

Go to the official website of MS Office and Login to office.com/setup account using your registered email ID and password.
Click on the option of install under the MS Office product in your account.
Save the installer setup if encouraged and run it once download is completed.
Do not go offline or reboot the device once installation is initiated.
Click on the finish button once the program is installed completely.
