Steps that you Need to Follow if your Antivirus is Not Working

If you have installed an antivirus in your device but still your device is being attacked by viruses, trojans and malware then it might be be the case of antivirus not working, you need to troubleshoot the issue. You can troubleshoot the issue for different operating system:

If you had installed multiple antivirus then it is recommended you must retain the one which you want to use and uninstall the rest.

You can try following troubleshooting steps for Windows 10.

You need to log into windows as a user with permission of the administrator and also make sure that none other than the one that you have mentioned in your application or antivirus software runs on your device.

Right click on the button of Windows start.

In the Start button, you must select the Apps and Features in the menu that appears.

Ensure that in the left panel, you are required to select Apps & Features.

Make sure that you have selected Apps & Features in the left panel.

Now, click on the version of Avast antivirus.

Select Modify.

Click on Yes, if you have been prompted to take the permissions by the User Account Control.

Click on repair if you see Avast Setup wizard on the screen.

You gotta wait till you see the setup repairing the Avast antivirus on your PC.

Click on Done if you get the process of repair getting completed.

Other troubleshooting step that you can take is you can uninstall the antivirus and install it again. Check if you have entered the correct product key. However if you still face the issue of antivirus not working, you can contact the customer care.
