St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub Review

In my search for the perfect scrub, I have come across a lot of products that don't live up to their fancy claims. But once in a blue moon, you do come across a few gems that fascinatingly do their job. What do you do when you find such goodies? Write a review of course, because the world needs to know some of the honest underdogs of the beauty world.

Where do I find it

The first time I had used this was in my aunt's house in abroad. I was surprised at how natural and effective the scrub was and it definitely stuck with me after I came back to Chennai. Once the stolen bottle of St. Ives was dried out and finished, I couldn't wait to find my next one. Rummaging through tons of Indian cosmetic websites, I finally found that Pixies was one of the very few online beauty shops selling this product. With mild hesitancy, I made the order but the results surprised me. Twenty-four hours later, I received the fresh product neatly packages with zero damage on the doorstep with no hassles. Pixies has become kind of my favorite place to get imported premium beauty products now.

The Ingredients

Apricot:

Apricots are known to contain one of the highest levels of carotenoids (vitamin A) and super-effective antioxidants. All of this natural power might seem, well, too powerful, but they are actually quite gentle and nourishing and they help make fresher, more nourished skin beautifully possible.

My Experience

Right from the first wash, I was in love. The radiance on my face was unparallel and I felt anew. My pores were all opened up and all that clogged dirt was gone. But this was where I messed up. I followed the instructions to a T and started using it every day. Only later did I learn that this product is in fact pretty harsh on the skin and is better used once or twice a week.

Once I started using it in moderation, I felt the healthiness come back into my skin and yes now its all unbelivably soft and supple. If any of you are looking for a good scrub you can depend on - this is my recommendation.
