·         Badolato- It is the village which is located near the lonian coast and has many Byzantine churches.

The mountains found in Calabria makes it excellent region for people who enjoy hiking. You could rent a car and explore the region on your own. You would be amazed to find many hidden medieval villages which are totally cut off from the world.
