I know from looking around, that a lot of people think the way to success is to post as many links, banners or websites that contain your referral links as possible.

The truth is that is as far from the truth as you can get. The majority of people who will see your promotions are already jaded against such tactics and they don't really even see what you are promoting. Just do some tracking with the URLshortner here at APSense to see for yourself.

If you want to get referrals or customers, make it your mission to solve as many problems as you can. When someone sees their own problem and the obvious solution explained in detail, they would be crazy not to grab it. Isn't that what you want?

Then LABEL it as a problem so Google and the others can find it when someone is searching for the same problem and find the solution. It's that simple, but keep it a secret so everyone doesn't catch on.

Nice written article. You are right. Just posting as many links as possible will do 'nothing'. YOu have to know how to promote and where.
