SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up to Help Mid-Career Workers In 2020
by Pace Staff Singapore Pace AcademyIt is
difficult to switch jobs at a certain age, but the Singapore government has
made it possible with SkillsFuture
credit. A $1000 is getting added to professional accounts that are in their
40s and 50s. They can take the help of this credit to attain greater heights in
their career and fetch new roles.
SkillsFuture
already had a $500 for Singapore citizens who are 25 and above, but there is an
additional $500 more to get added to the account of citizens who are between 40
to 60 years.
This noble
initiative is to make professionals in their 40s be more work-fit. The primary
credit has no expiry date and can be used at any point of time.
Some people,
after completing tertiary education, have moved to a sector and have served the
companies for long. Some of them have adapted the new changes and technologies
involved. Many still lack proper skillsets to match the productivity results of
newcomers. The percentage of people who need proper grooming is larger in
number. They can now breathe easy with
the introduction of credit top-up in all the professional training institutes
in Singapore.
The
training will be industry-focused and will give chances to the mid-career
workers to shift to a completely new domain. The mentors will prepare the
courses as per the industry standard, and training will make the adult learners
equip new tools and strategies that they need to produce the desired work
results.
The Government
has also encouraged employers to hire mid-career workers. In addition, the
Government will provide a 20 percent salary support to employers who absorb
local jobseekers aged 40 and above. WSQ
courses mingle with SkillsFuture to give professionals industry-centric
knowledge. More and more organizations are tying up with the training
institutes to help learners with the right skills. They boost the students’
confidence by giving them job vacancy news and often hiring them for their own
organisations. If you are one of the mid-career strugglers, trying to
