The pandemic has resulted in four times more job losses than the Global Financial Crisis in 2009. However, thanks to the skilled IT workforce in Singapore, the economic downturn is much under control. Several companies are welcoming skilled professionals with knowledge in various emerging technologies. Such technologies are a part of Industry 4.0 that many companies embrace.

If you are interested in joining the workforce in the IT industry, you may consider enrolling in industry-relevant Adult Education courses. Singapore Polytechnic offers a number of programmes under the SkillsFuture Series (SF Series) for professionals to upgrade their skill sets. These courses vary in three proficiency levels - basic, intermediate and advanced - depending on the experience and skill set of the participants.

Advanced Manufacturing is one of the categories under the SF series. There are multiple industry-relevant training programmes under Advanced Manufacturing.
