Should you have a food truck catering for your wedding?

by FOOD TRUCK SPACES Creating Infrastructure Where There Once Was None

Are you planning to hire a food truck for your wedding, but you are not sure where to start? Here are four things you need to take into consideration in order to determine if food truck catering is right for you.

First of all, you need to learn whether your wedding venue allows food truck catering or not. You can ask the venue management team regarding their policies before you commit to a venue. If the venue does allow for food trucks, the next thing to consider is where you would like them to park.

Buffet style, grab and go, butler passed appetizers - food trucks can serve in an assemblage of serving styles! You will need to consider how you want your guests being served. If you are having a big fat wedding, it is best to have guests serve themselves.

What type of cuisine would you like to serve at your wedding? The street food scene is quite unprecedented, which means you have a really long list of food trucks to pick from. You may need to think about what type of cuisine best reflects your wedding theme, and would be enjoyed by all of your guests. You can go with culturally authentic cuisine or perhaps something with a mass appeal. Some popular options include (but of course are not limited to) exotics like Cuban, Korean, Greek, Italian, Middle-Eastern or popular American dishes like pizza, steak, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, barbecue ribs, what have you. You can round out your meals with something sweet such as cheesecakes, cookies, frozen desserts, pies, soft serves, brownies, and many more entrees. No matter what your custom wedding menu looks like, you will find a food truck best equipped to bring that to life.

Last but certainly not the least; you need to give thought to your guest list and of course, your budget. A food truck is, by all means, more affordable when compared to traditional catering options. Having said that, some food truck vendors may tack up redundant fees at the wind-up. That being the case, it is best to engage a food truck coordinator to be in charge of all aspects of your food truck wedding catering.

A food truck is an excellent way to spruce up your wedding celebrations and make your guests rave about your big day for years to come.
