Should You Buy the Galaxy Note 10+? An Honest Review from Junus Tan!

One of this year’s most awaited smart phones, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, is officially on sale, and we simply cannot help talk about it. With exorbitantly advanced features and a really classy look, Galaxy Note 10+ is easily one of the best android phones we have in the market. But its price is equally overwhelming, around $1100. And this is why you all must be excited to know if the device is really worth buying, or what are things that make it being in the news so long before it was launched.

Well, let’s start with Note 10+’s biggest selling point- its glowing, colourful screen, sitting at 6.8 inches. It looks gorgeous, to say the least. Watching movies and playing games would be an experience worth sharing among the peers. “You’re in for a screen that makes those terrible displays in the back of airplane seats look downright drolly.” says Junus Tan.

Talking about its performance, it’s damn amazing. Powered by a Snapdragon 855 chip, the phone boasts a whopping 12GB of RAM and 265 GB on internal storage. For those yearning for more, the phone has an additional 512GB storage option, along with a microSD card slot, a feature you must have missed while owning the standard Note 10.

Another splendid thing about Note 10+ you will gasp at is, ultra-wide and time-of-flight cameras. With its third 16-MP ultra-wide-angle camera alongside a 12-MP main cam and 12-MP 2x telephoto cam, pictures can be anything but ordinary. This is one feature that no smart phone, even the ones from Apple and Google, can match, at least not yet.

Discussing its business-centric applications, Junus tan says that if you want it for business use, you’re in for some really astonishing features. Galaxy Note 10+ comes with an advanced DeX mode, which allows it to be converted into a portable desktop using an external monitor, or just a spare laptop. In addition, your handwritten notes created with the S-Pen can be converted into full MS Word docs or PDFs. Isn’t it an amazing thing for those who spend a lot of time in meetings?

If you’re more into the battery life, the Note 10+ won’t disappoint you. A 3,400 mAh battery can last up to 15 hours and 5 minutes when set to its default 2280 x 1080 resolution. Add to it the features like a better stereo speakers, a new mic on the back, and reverse wireless charging – and the phone looks absolutely worth its price.

Ok now that we’ve covered most of its USPs, Junus Tan feels that there’re a few points which could be an instant deal breakers for a lot of people. The major one is that, it doesn’t have a headphone jack. This means you need to rely on the imbedded USB-C earbuds, or have to buy a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle. Switching to Bluetooth headphones is another option though.
