Shahrukh Khan: Salman and I have been Lucky

The 50 years old actor, the King of Khans is of the opinion that the Bollywood industry may be running by the star system but the audience decides its own ‘stars’ based on their performances. The veteran star Shahrukh Khan who has grossed the age of 50, believes that Salman and he is lucky as they both are still cast as a romantic hero of the film.

Shahrukh Khan said, “Earlier at 40, a hero was not a hero anymore. So, Salman and I were talking the other day that God has been so kind to us that we are 50, and we are still doing the same thing as we did when we were 25. It’s a big thing for us.”

Certainly, the 2015 was a great year for Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan as well. Salman Khan has made two blockbuster movies as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and also expected to release his most anticipated film Sultan. While, on the other hand, this year Shahrukh Khan is all set to release his most adorable film Dilwale and the other two films named Raees and Fans in the upcoming year, 2016.

Shahrukh Khan along with his whole team of Dilwale was spotted at the studio for the shooting. Rumors has it that SRK was there with his foe cum friend Salman Khan to shoot an episode for the television reality show ‘Bigg Boss 9’ and the show is hosted by Salman Khan himself.

When Shahrukh Khan was asked about the star system, he replied, “If in IPL (Indian Premier League), we don’t have stars, nobody will watch it. So, you have to have stars for people to choose films,” he added, “(Cricketer Mahendra Singh) Dhoni is a star, but, if he doesn’t perform well for three times, everyone starts abusing him. So, performance is very important. I think star system is important, or else by this time, our films would have come to an end.”
