An evening gown or a long dress is a flowing women's dress which is worn in a formal function. It varies from tea and ballerina to full-length. 5. Empire-The Empire silhouette has the waistline coming up to just below the bust, from which the skirt hangs loose and straight. It has a simple breezy style.

6. Dropped waist-This is another type among the sexy long dresses where the waistline is dropped below the actual waistline. The skirt can be both fitted and flared.

7. Princess-This style of dress is also tight, cut into single pieces, such as gores, and hangs in an unbroken line from shoulder to flared hem etc.

The clothes that flatter one best depends on one’s body type. Today the choice of clothes is so varied that there's something for everyone no matter what coloring, height, proportion, or body shape that one is.
