An
Introduction
An Embedded System is a
computer system designed to perform a specific task. It is a combination of
hardware and software to perform a particular task. Most of the embedded
systems are time critical applications which mean that embedded system is
always working in an environment where timing is very important. Embedded
systems contain processing cores that are either microcontrollers or digital signal
processors. An embedded system is a programmed hardware device.
Four General Embedded Systems Types
General Computing
• This Applications are similar to
desktop computing but in an embedded
package
• Video games, set- top boxes, automatic tellers, wearable computers
Control Systems
• circle- loop feedback control of RTS
• chemical processes, Vehicle engines, flight control, nuclear power,
Signal Processing
• This computations involve large data streams
• Sonar, Radar, video compression
Communication & Networking
• It contains information transmission and switching
• Internet, Telephone system
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EMBEDDED
SYSTEM
• It has sophisticated functionality
• It execute Real-Time Operation
• Its Manufacturing Cost is low
• It consume less power
• It eliminates the importance of Complex Circuitry
• Smarter Products
• It is in smaller size
• It is user friendly
Uses
of Embedded System
Embedded Systems are
wide spread in the following sectors.
o
Consumer Durables.
o
Industrial applications.
o
Military applications.
o
Commercial applications.
EXAMPLES OF EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
§
ATM
§
Control system for digital
equipments: TV Remote, CD Players, Household Appliances, etc.
§
Medical instrument’s controls - CT
scanners, MRI Scanners, ECG, Pacemakers and implanted pumps, implanted heart
monitors, etc.
§
Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA) systems
§
Telecommunications.
Scope in Embedded System field
The Embedded Technology
sector is currently amongst the fastest growing sectors in the IT segment.
Therefore, there is a rising demand in this field for professionals who can
deliver on the challenging assignments in this field. This field has a vast scope,
ranging from telecom to consumer electronics to aerospace. The requirements for
embedded systems engineers will continue to grow in the years to come for
software development process.
Summer Training in Embedded
system
It is mandatory for all
the students to go through practical oriented industrial training program in
Embedded System because it helps to narrow the gap between academics and
industry. It is especially important for fresh B.TECH/B.E graduate engineers to
get well trained in technologies like embedded system 8051, Advance embedded
system technologies like AVR, ARM, PIC, Robotics, PCB & CKT Design, Device
Driver, RTOS etc. First you should clear your basics in Embedded system 8051
and then you should move towards complex technologies. Industrial training is
very crucial for all the aspiring electronic engineering professionals who are
dreaming to get a job with handsome salary package. Remuneration for a electronics
engineering candidate’s package can lie in the range of Rs45k-50k. So please
join summer training and 6 months industrial training program in embedded
system technology from a reputed “industrial training organization”.
summer training in noida is available at CETPA Infotech Pvt Ltd. Summer training details are mentioned in details on website of CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
