Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 vs. Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max

by Harry Williams Manager

Foldable smartphones have their own charm. Samsung has come up with its latest version, Galaxy Z that has an innovative foldable display. Samsung is trying to make these foldable phones the future of smartphones by putting in them all the high-end specifications. But can we compare these innovative smartphones with Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max?

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Vs. Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max

The Galaxy Z fold was unveiled at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event along with the Samsung wireless buds, the Galaxy Buds Live, and Samsung’s premium smartphone, the Galaxy Note 20. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the third foldable smartphone by Samsung and successor of the Galaxy Z Fold. Undoubtedly, this new version is a far more improved version of its predecessor. The recent improvements include a large display and a hideaway hinge so you can open the device for long in the Flex mode.

Apple has not launched any foldable smartphones so far. Also, it seems unlikely for them to do so shortly. Who knows what happens now as Microsoft is ready to launch its foldable Surface Duo? For now, Apple is focusing on improving the designing of its current phone, iPhone 11 Pro Max

Some of the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 are similar to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Still, its larger screen, better processor, and foldable feature make it better than the Apple product. Nevertheless, we can say that foldable smartphone technology is quite an early development. While many of the companies have recently launched smartphones with this feature, people are still not used to this feature. Of all the foldable smartphones released so far, Samsung is far ahead in the competition, but it is still struggling with the challenges that come with foldable smartphones. Durability is one of the biggest hurdles. Apple has no such problem as it is continually improving the design and specifications of its subsequent models.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a super-luxurious phone, which is not for everyone. Two of the most notable features of this phone are its ultra-thin flexible screen and hinge-like laptop that could open at various angles. It is a quintessential cutting-edge technology and will give you the feel of an ultra-premium device. Galaxy Z Fold 2 works as a 2-in-2 device. Fold it to make it a regular thin display smartphone and open it up to convert it into a tablet whose size is close to Apple’s iPad Mini.

Apple iPhone Pro is Apple’s best product so far with its glossy screen, high-end speakers, a phenomenal processor that supports any upgrades to the camera. It has a shiny night mode and exceptional camera quality. Apple has surpassed all the expectations by combining the cutting-edge technology and the best design to produce the shiny matte back, three camera lenses, and enhanced battery life. No doubt, it is one of the most expensive phones not just in Apple Series but overall.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 is easy to grip despite having the large screen and weighs around 282 grams. Its thickness will never be a trouble to keep it inside a pocket or small pouch. You won’t find any scrolling lag with its speed of 120 Hz. There is a crease in the middle of the screen, which is essential to fold it in half. But it disappears while you are using it, so you don’t have to compromise with the design.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max weighs around 226 grams, which is relatively less than the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Its iOS 13 makes it far better than its previous versions and more straightforward for everyday use. You might encounter some slowdown in the camera, but it works well to edit a video.

The price of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 reaches around $2,000, which makes it more expensive than the iPhone 11 Pro Max. If Samsung mends a few of the features of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it will reach the heights in sales. But for now, iPhone 11 Pro Max seems like a more reasonable option.
