Heavy Metal or Metal: This genre originated in the late 1960s or early 1970s in the UK and USA. It is characterized by aggression, masculinity, and machismo. The main instruments used include aggressive vocals, electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums.

Punk Rock: This genre originated between 1974 and 1976 in the USA, UK, and Australia. It is a modern genre and quite different from the sentimentality and bombast of early 1970s rock. The instruments used in punk rock include the vocals, electric guitar, bass, and drums.

Blues Rock: This genre originated in the early to mid-1960s. It is a powerful combination of blues and rock of an electric ensemble type. The instruments used include electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals, piano, Hammond organ, and harmonica.
