The client has a $2.5 million property in mind, and wanted to know if the agents recommended would be willing to negotiate an offer for a $10,000 agent commission. $10,000 is about what a buyer's agent might make on a $330,000 sale. This kind of consumer inquiry is new for most agents. Chiras advised the consumer to meet with the agents and ask them for a breakdown of what they’re willing to do for their compensation, and the contingencies if that property doesn’t work out.
