Remove pet hairs from carpet

by Pamtec Enviro Systems Road Sweeping Machines

Pet hairs can be a nuisance, especially if you have multiple pets or if you live with someone who has long hair. You might be thinking that it’s easier to throw the carpet away instead of getting rid of those stubborn strands. Luckily, there are several ways to remove pet hairs from carpet, so you don’t have to resort to such drastic measures!

Use a rubber glove (a pet hair magnet)

If you're not a fan of using tape, consider using rubber gloves. Rubber gloves are a great way to remove pet hairs from your carpet; they're cheap and easy to find, and you can also use them for other sticky substances around the house (such as goo on the floor or tape residue).

To get started, put on a pair of rubber gloves and rub them back and forth over the carpet where there are pet hairs. The friction from rubbing will cause some of those stubborn fibers to come loose—and if any hair remains stuck in place after trying this method, simply repeat it until all hairs have been removed!

Use an old fabric softener sheet

Use an old fabric softener sheet.

  • Use the sheet to pick up pet hairs.

  • It will pick up more than one hair at a time and not damage the carpet or vacuum cleaner.

Try a squeegee

  • Use a squeegee to clean the carpet. A squeegee is an efficient way to get rid of pet hairs from carpets because it will pick up both large and small hairs in one swipe, so you don’t have to keep going over the same spot again and again.

  • Use a plastic scourer for stubborn stains on rugs or mats.#ENDWRITE

A wet sponge works wonders too

  • Use a wet sponge to wipe the carpet.

  • Use a soft, clean sponge.

  • Don't use too much water as it will spread oil stains and cause other problems in your carpet.

  • Wipe in small circles until no more pet hairs come out of the carpet.

  • Do not rub too hard or you may damage your carpet fibers!

Dip those threads in vinegar

To remove pet hairs from carpet, dip the threads of your lint brush into vinegar.

Vinegar is a natural cleaner that removes stains and deodorizes. It's great for carpets because it neutralizes odors and doesn't leave behind any residue after drying.

Use a masking tape roll

You can use a masking tape roll to remove pet hairs from carpet and upholstery.

Use a new masking tape roll as you would any other kind of tape: start at one edge and peel away the backing, then firmly press the sticky side against your surface. Then pull the backing off the other end of your strip, leaving behind a long strip that's ready to pick up on any stray hairs or dust particles on your floor.

Pet hairs can be removed using household items.

  • For carpet, you can use a paper towel to remove pet hairs.

  • For clothing, you can use lint rollers for removing pet hairs.

  • For furniture, you can use a vacuum cleaner for removing pet hairs from upholstery and carpets in your home or office.

  • For car seats, if you do not own a vacuum cleaner then try using this method: spray the area with water and let it sit for some time (few hours). Then rub the area with sandpaper to remove all the hair particles stuck on that spot; after rubbing clean it off with soap and water solution

Conclusion

The next time you’re in a predicament with pet hair and carpet, try one of these methods to remove it. They all work pretty well, but some are a little more tedious than others. So if you have the time and patience, go ahead!
