Quicken Technical Support Number

by Lee Smith Technical Support

I recently read an content on the Pareto Principle, which states that 80% of your results come from 20% of your perform. It was interesting to look at the background on the principle and see it used in areas other than company, like clothing (we wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time), cooking (we cook 20% of our recipes 80% of the time), etc. But it got me to thinking about how you can identify the top 20% of your customers in Speed up, the top 20% of your items/services, item sales reps, your expenses, etc. While it won't always be an 80/20 (could be 75/25), you still get the idea.

If you are in a 2010 edition of Speed up, the business snapshot can at least begin to give you a visual. But here are some reports/graphs that might be of help.

Profit & Loss - Choose whatever time frame you want, then select Modify. In the lower right-hand corner, you'll see a choice for % of income and % of expense. Make a choice or both - could be an eye-opener!

Sales by Customer Summary - Again, select your time frame then select Modify. Choose % of range. You'd have to export to Succeed to sort, but you can easily identify your top customers.

Sales by Item Summary - Choose your time frame. Percent of Sales is already a choice. If you don't want some of the more information, then select Modify and get rid of any content you don't want to see. In evaluation show, you may also want to basically simply click collapse if you have numerous subitems - it's sometimes simpler to learn with fewer products listed.

The Income and Price graph can be personalized - you can look at consideration, customer or category, and pick earnings or expense. On the right, you'll see the percentages of income and expense plus a pie graph for a visual.

The Sales Graph can also be personalized. You can see item sales by item, customer or item salesperson and again you'll see percentages and a pie graph.

Some of these reviews don't deal with real make use of customers, i.e. perhaps item sales were high, but so were expenses or perhaps you've invoiced, but have yet to be compensated or compensated completely. So, here's a customized evaluation you can also make and remember on your own:

Click on Reports, Custom Summary Report

Choose your time frame range

Choose your evaluation foundation - cash or accrual

Display content by - Total only

Display rows by - Customer

Display Columns for Total

Sort by Total

Add any sub content you want - perhaps % of column

So, with these power tools, you can now concentrate 80% of your efforts and effort on the 20% that is most productive and successful for your business.
