  11. After downloading updates, restart the QuickBooks Desktop application.
  12. When prompted, select the Yes option to install the new release.

Solution 2) Run the Verify and Rebuild utility to repair the damaged QuickBooks files

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop, select the File menu and hover over the Utilities option.
  2. From the Utilities side menu, click on the Verify Data option and let the tool run.
  3. Once the tool is done with scanning the QuickBooks files, go back to the File menu and then hover over the Utilities option.
  4. From the Utilities side menu, select the Rebuild Data option and let the tool run.
