QuickBooks Error Code H303 generally occurs when there is one or more of the workstations ( the computers that don’t host your company file) are allowed to be the server for QuickBooks. This shouldn’t be done as the computer that hosts your company file should be the sole server to host multi-user mode.

What should be done to fix QuickBooks Error H303?
To fix QuickBooks Error H303, you need to turn-off the Host Multi-User Access option on all of those workstations ( the computers that don’t host your company files) where it’s activated. Only the computer that is hosting your company file should be the server.

Follow the below mentioned steps to fix QuickBooks Error H303:

Note: Your company file must be closed before you follow the below-mentioned steps.

  • At first, you need to open QuickBooks on those workstations where the QuickBooks Error H303 is occurring.
  • Go to the File menu and hover over the Utilities option.
  • If under Utilities, the Host Multi-User Access option is highlighted, don’t select it. Go to another workstation where QuickBooks Error H303 is occurring as this one is not causing the error.
  • However, if the Stop Host Multi-User Access option is highlighted, select it.
  • Now, you need to repeat the above-mentioned steps on the rest of the workstations where QuickBooks Error H303 is occurring.
Once you have verified the hosting settings on all the workstations, open the server computer that hosts your company file and follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • At first, open QuickBooks Desktop on your server computer.
  • Go to the File menu and hover over the Utilities option
  • If under Utilities, the Host Multi-User Access option is highlighted, select it. 
  • Or, if the Stop Host Multi-User Access option is highlighted, don’t select it.
