by Kristen White Blogger
When creating resumes, it is difficult to stand out among a large pool of job-seekers. However, with an excellent resume that is detailed and well-formatted, your chances of employment significantly increase. Healthcare training courses online may also boost your consideration chances. Below is a description of how to create a good resume.

Fill the Certification Spaces

Obtain the specialization certifications by choosing healthcare training courses online, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or Pediatric Advanced life support certification to boost the strength of your resume. Also, get healthcare mandatory training.

Do Not Exaggerate Formatting

Most nursing fresh graduate resumes should be at most one page. Always find the formats that everything fits on the first page and do not manipulate the margins and font size such that the content spills over. Most excellent styles use a bullet point to highlight job experience, skills, and other necessary information. Use at most two bullet points under the primary header and ensure each bullet has a maximum of two lines.

Avoid Coloring the Resume

Most resume readers are impressed by the content and not the beauty of the resume. They do not care so much about your graphics creativity. Write the best content with simple formatting to get their attention.

Focus on an Audience from the Nursing Field

The audience is often from the professional field and, therefore, does not need an explanation of the professional terms. For nursing, the recruiter already knows what is clinical rotation. Provide straight to the point elaboration about specialization and details on the specific rotations you went through in nursing school.

Highlight Your Unique Characteristic

Specify the thing that makes you unique, like you were the best in the nursing class during your year. Mention the awards, and state any recognitions from high school or associates’ program. Explain the importance of the awards to the job that you are seeking and declare the full name of the award and date.

Avoid Fluff and Focus on the Relevant Credentials

Most fresh graduates do not have a lot of relevant practical experience. This state makes them feel insufficient and therefore end up including false extraneous qualifications. Focus on the basic things that a nursing graduate must-have, like the ability to place an IV appropriately and BLS certification. However, avoid expounding on them and concentrate on the unique characteristics like mentioning CPR certification and elaborating clinical rotations and volunteer work.

Add Extracurricular Activities

There is more space in most of the fresh graduates' resumes for extra information.  Include the specific extracurriculars that you engaged in, which will boost your character. Mention your volunteer activities at nursing homes and the study groups involved in it. It explains your future in your nursing career. Use bulletins to indicate the strengths learned from your experiences.

Formatting License and Certifications

If you have an accredited license and certification at the point of writing the resume, select a specific format for them. The recommended style is to state the certificates’ or licenses’ full name and licensing body on the single header line. Underneath the header, mention the date of issue and expiry date in bullet point. Specify if the said license is from a reputed institution.
