Protect Your Property from Damage with Heat Resistant Paint / Fire Retardant Paint / Fire Resistant

by Sanjeev Yadav SEO Consultant
Heat resistant paints are the most useful coatings, specially prepared to withstand high heat temperatures for an extended period of time. Silicone resins present in it increase the heat resistance of paints. Due to this the paint will not degrade or blemish quickly as compared to the common paints.

However, the heat resistant paints are not like fire retardant paints, which are prepared to tolerate fire damage. Heat resistant coatings or paints cannot stop combustible materials like wood from blazing.

The function of Fire resistant paints

These paints only reduce chances of fire. Also, it is functional and effective to control fire & reduce the flammability of fuels. It is done by decelerating the combustion power and that’s only for a limited time frame.

This type of coatings is in-tumescent and swells up increasing in volume when subjected to high temperatures. The swelled up coating produces a shielding substance which depresses heat conduction. This offers sufficient time for the fire-fighters to take complete control over the area under fire.

Heat resistant paints come with fire retardant ratings which show its critical fire resistance sustainability.

Types of heat resistant paints offered by the manufacturers in India

Heat resistant paint manufacturers in India offer different types that can be divided into four:

1. Multi polymeric paints (silicone based)

Water- or solvent-based, these paints are formulated to provide resistance to high heat when applied at on-site, new construction and as a maintenance coating. The more is silicone, the higher is the temperature resistance.

2. High-temperature powder paint

This is corrosion resistant and has been developed for heat resistance to temperatures from 200°C to 550°C. The powders are generally epoxy and silicone-based as silicone-based powders perform better at higher temperatures. These are VOC free and have a wide range of color and gloss finishes.

3. Thermal spray and metal additive coatings

These paints are principally used for corrosion shielding combined with heat resistance. Thermally sprayed aluminum is particularly used for CUI prevention in processing plants. Metal colorants are every so often used as stabilizers for temperatures above 400°C.

4. Heat resistant ceramic paint

Everyone is aware of the heat resistance properties of ceramic coatings. Some of the highest heat coatings available are ceramics which also provide corrosion protection and chemical resistance with a hard finish.

Here are the three factors that affect the choice of a high heat resistant paint:

1.    Insulation of the substrate
2.    Substrate temperate during application
3.    The maximum temperature of the substrate
Contact certified manufacturers and suppliers to ensure following benefits
1.    Timely delivery
2.    Reasonably Priced Customized packaging
3.    High-quality paints in a variety of shades, and textures
