Preventing kidney failure with kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda

by Vicky Kumar Digital Marketing Expert

Summary:

Kidneys filter the blood and remove toxins out of the body and help maintain the level of electrolytes in the body but when the tissues or blood vessels inside the kidney are damaged, they do not allow the waste to filter out from the body. The condition can be life-threatening for patients as it progresses to kidney failure but with the help of kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda, you can easily manage the complications in your body.

Kidneys are a pair of organs meant for filtering out waste and fluids that are no longer needed in our body. They filter the blood and remove toxins out of the body and help maintain the level of electrolytes in the body. Kidney failure is a condition which signifies that the kidneys can no longer work and perform its specific functions. The situation can get so worse that you might need an artificial mechanism to allow the toxins to filter out through the urine, such as dialysis and transplant.  However, with the help of kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda, you can also improve the urine flow and prevent fluid from accumulated inside the blood vessels.

There are many conditions that can interfere with the health of your kidney and these are:

·         Toxic exposure to environmental pollutants like ethylene

·         Severe dehydration for a prolonged time pressurize the kidney

·         Sudden or direct trauma to the kidneys also cause kidney damage

·         Some acute and chronic diseases such as heart disease

The body becomes burdened with toxins when the kidneys cannot do their job healthily leading to kidney failure if left untreated or avoided.

Symptoms of kidney failure

Kidney failure is the end stage of chronic kidney disease and is characterized by swelling in the body parts which needs to be prevented with kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda. However, it is important to learn that you will notice subtle signs when kidney loss is mild and moderate.

·         Fatigue body

·         Drowsiness

·         Nausea and the urge to puke

·         Pain in the chest

·         Anemia

·         Shortness of breath

·         Poor confusion

·         Frequent need to pee

·         A reduced amount of urine

·         Muscle cramps

·         Sleepless nights

Stages of chronic kidney disease

Your doctor would conduct a set of tests in order to determine the severity of kidney damage. The eGFR is a blood test that checks how well your kidneys are functioning. The stages of the kidney are based on the eGFR count as diagnosed by your physicians. If you are in the initial stages of kidney failure, then your doctor would suggest kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda as this will prevent the kidney from getting worse.

  • Stage 1

eGFR greater than 90 means stage 1 of kidney damage.

In this stage, there is a mild loss to kidney function and you hardly show any symptom. The main signs of kidney damage could be protein called albumin in your urine that makes your urine bubbly.

  • Stage 2

eGFR is usually between 60 and 89.

Stage 2 of CKD symbolizes moderate loss as your kidneys are healthy and working well. Just like stage 1 you will not have some prominent signs to look for in this stage.

  • Stage 3

eGFR between 30 to 59.

Stage 3 of kidney disease means you have moderate kidney damage. The symptoms start appearing in this stage, such as swelling in the hands and feet, back pain, the frequency of urine increasing or decreasing.

  • Stage 4

eGFR between 15 and 30

This stage of kidney disease should be taken seriously and you should consult an ayurvedic specialist to begin your kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda. By taking ayurvedic treatment, you can prevent yourself from progressing to the fifth stage of end-stage renal disease.

  • Stage 5

eGFR less than 15

Also called as end-stage renal disease, the fifth stage of CKD is life-threatening and signifies that your kidneys have lost more than 90% of their functionality. It means you either have lost your kidney or are very close to failure.

Ayurvedic treatment

Depending upon the underlying causes, the ayurvedic treatment is recommended to the patients of kidney failure. You can take kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda along with dialysis if your kidneys are severely damaged and reduce the frequency of dialysis. The ayurvedic treatment helps facilitate urine flow so that toxins can be prevented from building inside the kidney, keep the bladder and urinary tract membrane healthy so that the underlying causes of kidney failure can be prevented.
