Preparation Tips and Strategy for SSC CGL Exam

Conducted by Staff Selection Commission, SSC CGL or the Combined Graduate Level Exam is held for various posts under Grade B and Grade C. The posts under these grades include: officers, inspectors, auditors, assistants, examiners, etc. The posts as we all know come with perks and benefits and the aspirant who is going to appear for this exam must go through his or her preferences to know which post shall be most suitable for him/her or preferable over other. About the exam

The examination usually happens in levels or what is commonly known as ‘Tiers’ wherein the first two tiers i.e. Tier-I and Tier- II remain common for all the candidates eligible, while the third tier is post specific.
The examination pattern for all the tiers:

a) Tier- I – Written examination of 100 Multiple choice questions

b) Tier- II - Written examination of Multiple choice questions

c) Tier- III – Descriptive paper in either English or Hindi. This includes: essay writing, precis writing, letter writing, application writing, etc.

d) Tier – IV – Skill Test or the computer proficiency test (wherever applicable) and/or document verification.
