Practices that are clearly forbidden in Scriptures

Many of us have fallen into the trap of calling a medium to solve daily life problems; we are numerous to have found Tarot cards alluring. Actually, a lot of people are very much confused about spirituality. The latest New Age trends will present you future foretelling and card reading as harmless. Beware, these practices could harm you much more than you actually think.

Did you know that our Creator strictly condemns all type of practices that require the help of a medium, as well as any act of casting spirits? Communicating with dead people could affect your life very badly.

What Scriptures say

Whatever excuse people will find or whatever argument you will be searching for, there is no middle way. Hashem disagrees with any act of witchcraft or channeling "ascended Masters".

The Book of Deuteronomy clearly states:

" You must NEVER sacrifice your sons or your daughter by burning them alive, practice black magic, be a fortune teller, witch or sorcerer, cast spells, ask ghosts or spirits for help, or consult the dead" (Deuteronomy 18: 10-12)

Seeking oracles is prohibited in the same way idolatry is.

The Book of Isaiah, Chapter 8, verse 19 contains an important warning aimed at all the people who would be tempted to get into such practices:

" They will say to you: "Seek oracles at the pits used to conjure up underworld spirits from the magicians who chirp and mutter incantations. Shouldn't people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living?"

Why one should avoid medium practices by any means

Communicating with dead people is a deceitful practice. Often people think that they are receiving a message from a beloved deceased family member while the manifestations that they are receiving actually emanate from evil spirits. Unwillingly, they will be drawn into the devil's nets.

One must be aware that all these practices ( tarot reading, fortune telling, speaking with the dead, etc) are UNCLEAN practices:

" Don't turn to psychics or mediums to get help. That will make you UNCLEAN. I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:31

The story of Samuel emerging from the dead through the witch of En-Dor's action should make people think twice. Such things are an abomination to our Lord.

Every time you would be tempted to ask a medium for help, think that his intervention will call evil spirits into your life.

With the imminence of Yeshua's return, I'd advise anybody to make their path right before the Lord before it is too late.

Please keep the warning from the Book of Revelation in mind and take it very seriously:

" But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshippers, and all liars-their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelation 21:8
