Portable Double-coil Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Out there in the electronic wasteland there just seems to be way too many sub par waterproof bluetooth speaker with unforgiving price tags occupying valuable shelf space. There are a few that make the cut to prime time. That said, I was more then glad to jump at the opportunity to test drive the Lumsing Sound Link Bluetooth speaker.

Out of the box this speaker is quite impressive. Measuring in at 4.72*4.53*4.21 inch this puppy weighs in at a little over a pound. This speaker is packed with a 3.5mm USB cable, quick start guide, wall charger and information handout. The company tags on a one year warranty. I like the overall look and feel of this Sound Link speaker. Its also available in blue, green and pink.

Power, auxiliary, play/pause and volume controls are only a fingertip away and located on the top of the speaker. The buttons are fluid and function well. A green LED illuminates when powered up. Pairing up to both of my phones was without any issues. I had a little more trouble when pairing up to my tablet. It not so easily connects up to two bluetooth devices.

Thanks to the 3.5mm auxiliary port, marrying up to my antique and still running mp3 player was sweet. My playlists were delivered with amazing clear and crisp highs. Bass was way better then I expected. Make no mistake this speaker is not your father's Lumsing, but it definitely outshines most of the posers out there.

For balance I moved the speaker around. I was nicely surprised to find that the music stream held solid any where between 20-25 feet. I got a little over eight hours of continuous play before it was time to recharge. A couple of hours later I was back in business. It definitely can fill a small room. Even though its not weather proof, I find that it can hold its own outside too.

The portable wireless speakers voice prompt feature is okay. Thankfully it can be turned off. Irregardless of that small annoyance, the overall performance makes this speaker hard to put down. Heck, it even looks good. The folks at planet Lumsing have definitely delivered the goods on a another great sound producing box. This Lumsing product is a keeper.
