by Rohil Sharma Search Engine Optimizer
Are you going to install a decking in your home? It is the season of cold and people love to spend time under sun. Decking is perfect place to sit and get warmth of sun. Choosing the right material for decking is very important because only a right material can increase the durability of your decking. For choosing any of the material, the most important criterion is where is your deck?

It is in sun or shade? In addition, factors like size, maintenance requirements, color, cost, and style also important to consider. Generally three types of materials are available to diversify the decking. These are:

•    Plastic

When plastic is used as a decking material, it makes it stain resistant. Plastic decking generally do not crack, warp, or splinter easily. This decking is made up of new, partial, and sometimes recycled plastic.

•    Composite

As the name suggests, it is the mixture wood and plastic. The decking is basically composed of wood fibers and recycled plastic. Advantages of composite material are it won’t splinter, warp, or rot with the change in climate.

•    Wood

Wood is the king of decking materials. Most of the people choose wood because like the Wooden Flooring, wooden decking is made up of cedar, pressure treated pine, redwood, and a sustainable tropical wood. In addition, sustainable produced versions of most hardwoods comprising cedar, ipe, redwood, and bamboo are also used.

In addition to the benefits aforementioned, plastic and composite decking lacks in providing comfort, particularly in a hot sunny day. The decking can get so hot; you can’t walk on them barefoot. For this reasons, experts recommend to choose wood for the decking. Tropical woods like teak and ipe work well but some of them are dark, so it absorbs more heat than lighter woods. On the other hand, redwoods tend to be a predominating decking material due to its affordability, cool surface, and low maintenance.

When it comes to maintenance, plastic and composite both the materials need a regularly applied finish mainly once or twice in a year to prevent fading. In addition, mold spots are also difficult to remove from this material.

On the other hand, wood can be left as finished or unfinished. Beside this advantage, one can’t deny from the fact that wood is easily susceptible to rot and warping.

Cost of composite and plastic decking is approximately twice the cost of wooden decking. That is because of its structure. However, the price may vary from location to location subjecting to the availability of material. Still, wooden like cumaru decking is a reasonable choice.

Availability of wide variety of colors in wood also makes it preferred choice of the customers. Both wood and plastic material can be customized to get different sizes, shapes, and designs. Now, it is up to you that which among the two you choose. In both the cases, choosing a right supplier is important. For this, make a deep market research by browsing the online market too. That is because almost every reputed supplier has made its presence in the online market. So, choose the best in order to get worth of your money spend.
