Under these circumstances the use of plastic films has allowed manufacturers to meet varied marketplace demands.

Use of plastic films for food packaging

LDPE is the polyethylene resin used by the plastic film manufacturers in food packaging and these plastic films have multiple uses in food packaging like-
  •     In-store bags for produce (such as apples and potatoes)
  •     All non frozen baked goods (such as rolls and breads)
  •     Bakery bread and bun bags
  •     tray covers for institutional deliveries of bakery products
  •     bags-in-a-box (film used to contain fluid in a supportive box, such as boxed wine)
  •     Boil-in-bags (film used to contain food prepared by keeping it in the package and placing it in boiling water)
  •     Candy and confection bags and wrappers
  •      Carton liners (for such products as cake mixes)
  •     Meat, poultry and seafood wraps

Use of Plastic films for non-food packaging

For non-food packaging also LDPE is used and the different uses of it are-
  •     Industrial liners (film used to line supported structures such as gaylord boxes, and liners for shipments of nuts and bolts)
  •     Shipping sacks (film used to protect and/or contain contents such as bark and mulch bags)
  •     Bubble packing, envelopes, multiwall sack liners, overwrap, and rack and counter bags.

Indigo pack ready films are widely use for post-print converting solutions with high performance lamination. These films are used for digital prints which provide higher production flexibility with fast turnaround and reduced waste. The indigo pack ready laminations create high performance laminations without the use of adhesives, thus making them best suitable for packaging and printing material.
