The main journey to explore Shimla starts with Mall Road. Moving out of Mall Road of Shimla we go to Jakhoo Temple. If you are in search of some true religious values in the beautiful lush Shivalik ranges, then the Jakhoo temple is a place for preaching Lord Hanuman. While this temple is a tourist attraction in its own the statue of Lord Hanuman attracts tourists from all over the world. The height of the statue is 8000 ft and it even beats the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro. 

The story follows that Lord Hanuman stopped here to take some rest when he was going in search of Sanjeevani Booti to save Lord Laxman. 

Moving out of Shimla and leaving Jakhoo Temple behind we visit the town called as Kufri which is just 13 Km away from the main mall road of Shimla. The views of this place just get better and better and the landscapes even more beautiful. With the beautiful town of Kufri, people come here to visit the zoo that has many animals like Felinas, Antelopes, and birds like Himalayan Monal.  

While the zoo is amazing it’s the Mashru Peak that is the highest point in Kufri, and you can reach this place by trekking. This place is also the ski ground during the winter season.
