  • Choose optimum repayment tenure: Suppose you take a personal loan  Rs 1 lakh and you choose repayment tenure of 1 year then it will be difficult for you to pay it back on time. To simplify things, always choose an optimum tenure. If you feel that long tenure can help you, go for it.

  • Say no to multiple loans: It you are living with multiple loans and suddenly an emergency arises and you miss out an important date to pay your EMI then it becomes difficult to maintain the loan. How good credit score helps you

  • Lower interest rates on loans: When you have a good CIBIL score you can enjoy paying lower interest on loans.

Since an applicant with a low credit score poses a threat to the lender, he may reject the loan application or offer a loan at a higher rate of interest rate. However, both scenarios are bad for an applicant. So, instead applying for a personal loan at a lower credit score, improve CIBIL score and then apply for a personal loan, unless there is an urgent requirement.
