Patio Umbrella

Umbrella is a ubiquitous product. It is a small hand held device to protect ourselves from heat, bright sun light and rain. A very common household article, this is used all over the world. Umbrellas are manufactured with usually water and sun proof. A larger sized umbrella is used to check the blazing heat. So, many people prefer to carry an umbrella when they go out especially during summer days. They are called parasols. An Umbrella consists of a stick that is attached to canopy at one end and at the other end a handle. The canopy which is the main part of umbrella that gives the protection is made of cloth or rexine material with metallic ribs fitted on a metallic rod or wooden pole. Generally, we see this rod ending in a “J” shape. This pole has top spring and bottom spring which helps the umbrella to open and close. We can find a runner that moves smoothly on the pole to open and close the umbrellas.

There are two types of umbrellas. In one, we can contract the length of the pole and in the other we cannot contract the length of the pole. Usually ladies umbrellas can be retracted to a small size to make it convenient to carry them in their hand bags or during journey. The umbrellas used to protect from rain are mostly black in colour. But we can see umbrellas flooded in markets with eye catching designs, colours, and shapes using different types of mechanisms. Hence they are very popular with the users.
