Paraben free beauty products: A gift for your youthful skin

by Amili R. SEO
A skin care product is made of many ingredients. Depending on the product’s end use and its shelf life, varieties of chemicals are used to produce them. The commonest among them is Paraben products, which have been in use for over several decades.

Since this product has been the object of much vilification in the past, many cosmetics’ companies have started introducing beauty products that are labeled as paraben-free products.

First try to understand why this chemical is being used in the skin care products. Parabens are such preservatives which stop fungus, bacteria and other microbes from growing in your desired creams and makeup products specifically when they are kept in the moist and warm environment of a bathroom.

Because of its immediate benefits different types of parabens like a methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl and isobutyl have been used in thousands of personal care products such as shampoos, mascara, foundations and body lotions.

Some of the top class researchers of international fame have raised serious questions while correlating the growing cases of cancer and increased use of parabens in body care products.

Parabens have a weak ability to mimic estrogen and so they have been found in breast cancer tumours and can be isolated from other body tissues? Not only this, the growing cases of declining sperm counts and increasing rates of male breast cancer and testicular cancer have also been linked to parabens in beauty products as this chemical has the tendency to get into your skin potentially disrupting your endocrine systems.

Knowing the side effects of paraben products, consumers have started putting pressure on companies by refusing to buy paraben used body care products. As an aftereffect, the ‘’paraben free products’’ are popping up on beauty products to woo consumers and make them feel confident about the product.

The beauty products produced without using this chemical is a step in the right direction as it is good for the overall health of the skin. Since makeup products, lotions and other beauty products are directly applied to the skin, a chemical free product is a huge boost to the morale of beauty conscious individuals.

Many natural and herbal products are being used as the perfect substitute of prabens. These include essential oils of herbs like thyme, rosemary, oregano, goldenseal root, lavender oil, and grapefruit seed extract. Lavender oil has long been known to be beneficial for dry, irritated skin and has been used in many all-natural dandruff shampoos.

And if you don’t find a product free from paraben, it is better to use neem face wash as it can be good option for your soft face skin.

So don’t take risk with your skin. Your beauty and look is of utmost importance. Pick products cautiously if you wish to maintain your youthful appearance.
